SOLVED Mach 1 - No signal, no light

Is there anything between the back of the potentiometer and the board? Inspect the board carefully and see if there’s any places where two pads are making a connection. Also, some of those joints look like there could be a poor connection somewhere.

    Turret Rat build. LM308

That is a work of art. Probably the coolest way I’ve seen an op-amp mounted.

The 2026 revised film free decal tutorial

On the sunnyscopa site it says you can use a hair dryer. Not sure how well that works in practice.

    Simulcast

I was thinking about reporting back here. I have played it more and am finding that I either like it very clean or full bore. That’s interesting though, treble booster is a good way to think about it. Thanks!

Help with getting into home recording - what do I need?

My first daw was Cool Edit Pro 2. I got it in Oklahoma, when I was going to see Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. The opening band was called Squeaky Burger, and one of the dudes was someone I never met- I traded cassettes of Phish shows with him on some forum. I think my friend I drove with had a cell...

I could use another set of eyes and help with this idea (pickup simulator)

The goblin is pretty useful. It also solves another problem- knowing the current status of the switch. The indicator LED passes through the Goblin, and it detects voltage from the LED to determine if it needs to be on or bypassed when you send a toggle command. Also, if you use digital pots...

PCBs into 2U rack - can I omit 3PDT (for always on)/LED and still work?

Think about the switch as just another thing in the signal chain. If you skip the switch, you can just connect directly into the in/out on the board. The other two pads are there if you want an LED indicator

    Fulfilling a project BOM

All good stuff. Another thing to consider while sourcing- the photo may not depict the exact component. Check things like voltage for capacitors, and lead spacing so you don’t accidentally get some huge component that doesn’t fit on the pcb. There are a number of times I didn’t look carefully...

    Fulfilling a project BOM

Welcome! Sourcing parts can be a chore. But after a few times, you can get a lot faster at navigating the site, and you’ll have more parts on hand, reducing what you need to order to finish a build. I’d recommend getting a feel for doing it manually before adding automation. If the automation...

    Simulcast

Another bandwagon build. I wanted to try this thing out for myself. It’s kinda fun, and I can think of scenarios where I would use it, but it’s not really my style. Another one for the tone library. Acquiring the parts was a quest. It didn’t bother me as I was in no rush. I think my favorite...

    Sheepylove Epic Boost

I’ll start with shoutouts- thanks @HamishR for bringing up the circuit in my Arche Boost build report. Thanks @szukalski for the great layout. It’s resdef on one side and value on the other- best of both worlds. And finally thanks @MichaelW for hooking me up with a PCB. From what I understand...

2-channel loop switcher with remote switches - advice welcome.

Thank you @RobotZombie23 - that gives me something to try out

2-channel loop switcher with remote switches - advice welcome.

Thanks for responding. I do want to use one TRS jack to control two relays. I think the relay modules I’m using are not the right solution. I need the remote switches to “own” the state. The switches are MIDI-controlled, so I don’t want to create a mismatch where the controller shows it’s ON...
