    JFET Shootout

I checked one of mine, the difference is subtle but it's a little different from yours (letters and numbers cover a larger area). And I can't see that residue

    JFET Shootout

Mine look exactly like the left one, and they have all been in-spec for a 2n3819, which is not a super hard task, considering the parameter spread

    JFET Shootout

Could you identify the fake 2n3819? Are they jfets, at least?

This Week on the Breadboard: Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive (with some mods, of course)

Robert's layouts are as good as they get, but it's a lot of fun seeing how different people (all very capable) approach board designing

This Week on the Breadboard: Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive (with some mods, of course)

Brett's build report was so good that I had to build (build report here) this one. It doesn't look as nearly as profesional as Brett's and Cooder's but I'm happy with how it turned out and it sounds amazing. I had no low gain Si transistors, so I'll include some in my next parts order and swap...

Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive - Chuck's Boneyard Version

I just finished Chuck's version (thread here) of the Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive and it sounds absolutely killer. Not a single bad sound in it! Absolutely impressive and a must build for everyone, in my opinion. It transitions beautifully from clean to dirty, and all controls are very usable...

    Collateral FX Unchained

In the end, which jfets did you choose? That's gotta be my favorite sounding BSIAB II variant ever! It looks amazing, too

This Week on the Breadboard: Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive (with some mods, of course)

Just etched this one to build it this weekend EDIT: I just verified the board: layout is good and the pedal sounds absolutely amazing. This is getting boxed as soon as possible In case anyone wants to etch their own board and @Chuck D. Bones says it's alright, I'll be happy to share it.

This Week on the Breadboard: Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive (with some mods, of course)

My bad, I just assumed it was the drain resistor.

This Week on the Breadboard: Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive (with some mods, of course)

Thanks! I'll try to breadboard with what I have and see if I get reasonable drain voltages. How high can I go with the drain resistor before it begins to impact tone too much? (if I remember correctly, the drain resistor is part of a filter somewhere)

This Week on the Breadboard: Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive (with some mods, of course)

I'm inspired by Brett and Cooder to give this one a go (it won't look nowhere near as good, I'm certain). Is there any alternative jfet that could work @Chuck D. Bones ?

    Mos-Tron Envelope Filter (Dylan159's Chewborg)

This looks amazing! I'm loving this series of builds!

    Narcissus Dip Switch function

This is taken from Digitech website: "INTERNAL DIP SWITCHES The Looking Glass’ Input Filter control is passive and interacts nicely with your guitar’s electronics when not using a buffer in front of it. However, when using buffered pedals before the Looking Glass you may want to adjust the two...

    cd4069ube symbol?

I have version 3 from 2017 and there'as the CD4069 in the '40xx-2' file That's the one I have in my library

    cd4069ube symbol?

Just a heads up. OP has asked for the CD4069, and you have shared the CD4049. Pinout and packaging differ

Fun with CMOS - part 2 - The Muff #49

That does make sense. I bought a bunch of 4049s when I built my Electric Mistress (early 2015, I once had the good habit of documenting my builds)

Fun with CMOS - part 2 - The Muff #49

I have bought them at least 10 years ago, I reckon

Fun with CMOS - part 2 - The Muff #49

It's an STMicroelectronics one (in theory at least, might be rebranded). It's quieter than I was expecting I really like the tone network. This will probably replace the Big Muff I have boxed right now edit: part number is HCF4049UBE

Fun with CMOS - part 2 - The Muff #49

Still a long way to go before I'm capable of building beautiful looking boards, but it works! And it sounds VERY good, Chuck! As usual. Tone stack sounds fuller in the mids (and that's what the tone stack calculator tells me as well). PS: Belated happy birthday!
