Curds and whey distortion added to a better overdrive?

This is a really cool idea. Please update with progress, I'd love to build one but I barely understand how things work, so can't help with design.

Circulator(Boneyarded) and Hyped Fuzz with mods from these forums

With the octave switch up the octave is on, which is I think is stock, down is octave off. There is less volume/gain with the octave off, I think because the mod turns off one of transistors generating the octave. The other toggle, down by the foot switch, flipped down is stock, flipped up...

Circulator(Boneyarded) and Hyped Fuzz with mods from these forums

here we go, might take a few minutes for youtube to finish processsing mic was too close to the cab so the bass is a boomy and evidently I wasn't far enough away for it to not pick up my strumming, but you can still get an idea for the mods.

Circulator(Boneyarded) and Hyped Fuzz with mods from these forums

It's been out on loan but I should be getting it back today. I'll try to get a demo made tomorrow.

Circulator(Boneyarded) and Hyped Fuzz with mods from these forums

Circulator pictures first: I like doing black designs on Tayda's metallic enclosures with no white or gloss layers, but this time I decided to do a gloss coat over the text to help with legibility and it was a success. Maybe more so in the room than in the pictures. I've accepted that I...

I don't have a B2K pot, would placing a B5K pot in this Bit Commander cause some kind of international incident?

Since a pot is a variable resistor with the listed value being the max resistance(B5k = 5kohm max with a linear taper) you can use a parallel resistor calculator online, there's probably even one where you put in the desired value and the value of the one you're trying to modify and it tells you...

DEMO Lectric-FX DC Echo (EHX Echo 600)

Looks great, I have one of these boards and the bbd's waiting to be built, this post is good motivation.

Hyped fuzz mod for in between setting like Behringer SF300

I decided to wick all the solder off of the two lugs/board for the DPDT, thread some 22ga into the lugs and re-solder everything. It now works fine. That's the update to this small conversation I've had with myself. It should have worked the first time, but evidently it's better to remove all...

Hyped fuzz mod for in between setting like Behringer SF300

I took the switch back out and tested with jumpers and the mod works as intended. I put the switch back in, making sure to clean up excess flux after, in case it was bridging other lugs, and it's broken again. Can't figure out how that's possible, but I'm pretty sure it's do to a mental...

Hyped fuzz mod for in between setting like Behringer SF300

Grave digging here. I recently finished a hyped fuzz build and then stumbled on this thread, so I decided to tack on the blend switch mod. I used an SPDT on-on with the highlighted pins from the on board DPDT wired to pins 2 and 3 on the SPDT. The pedal worked great before, including the octave...

    Tube question : TAD RT372 vs RT272

The new production tung sol 7189s are great for long life in el84 amps at much better than nos 7189 prices. They are higher headroom so that could change the sound, but they've been very reliable tubes for me in guitar and hifi amps

    MadBean VFE BumbleBee Compressor

I have one of these I had printed from VFE's gerber files on my shelf of shame, need to get it working. Thanks for the inspiration, nice build!

    Kewpie Fuzz

I wouldn't say the doping or 1979 switches are super dramatic changes on my build, but it is noticable. My ura switch adds to much bass that it chokes out the fuzz unless I switch 1979 on. All the switches seem to have different effects relative to other control changes.

What would you consider a "long enough" delay time for most practical purposes?

Yeah I'm also getting nothing, I guess some brave soul will have to purchase one and send it to Robert for a trace/board and the greater good of all.

What would you consider a "long enough" delay time for most practical purposes?

Pretty sure the recent Benson delay is PT2399 and sounds awesome plus fairly long delay times, might be worth poking around in one of those

SOLVED Duo-Phase Ticking (mainly when left side is engaged)

Yes that would work. Usually when I'm doing shielded wires I leave it longer than needed and tease out half of the braided shield on each end with a small screwdriver or pick awl. Then you can twist up the loose strands from the shield to make a pseudo wire for soldering to ground. In this case...

SOLVED Duo-Phase Ticking (mainly when left side is engaged)

I might be wrong but it looks like the shield for the in/out wires isn't grounded. You might try grounding the shield on at least one end of each run. Usually the signal source side of you're only grounding one end to avoid ground loops. The sleeve lug on the input jack and the ground pad on the...

    Reputable source for LM308N?

Nevermind I'm wrong. I read it incorrectly at least 4 times in a row. It's the LM3080N. Thanks for catching it. Time for new glasses.

    Reputable source for LM308N?

The BOM says LM308N. It's the GCI 6 knob compressor designed by the guy from Dunwich amps. I like the Dunwich fuzz pedals and thought it was strange to have the rat opamp in a compressor which is why I was intrigued.
