In Search Of… (post the obscure parts you need help finding)

Shoot me a PM. I think I might have a couple or know where to find some. Water clear 5mm okay?

SOLVED Headphone Amplifier: Only getting mono output

You know, stupid things always show up in troubleshooting. Usually, it's the dumbest thing ever.

    We built this city!

I'm probably the random goofup that sticks out here:

    Tube question : TAD RT372 vs RT272

Bias isn't too hard. Usually most up the cathode resistor to the EL84 pair. Usually they set it at 100 ohms/5W square cermet resistor. Blues Jr. need I think 150-180 ohm to be happy. The change is pretty straightforward. If I can gut a Valve Jr., wire it up, and not burn down an apartment, then...

    DOD Classic Tube FX53 MOD

No problem. I was just looking for a schematic to see what was going on, and the thread showed up. Good luck

    DOD Classic Tube FX53 MOD

Mark Hammer modded one here: https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=118149.0 Looks like a simple tone stack cap change and clipper change. Probably don't need much to make it the way you want it.

What are your favorite spray paint colors?

Ah yes. How heathenly of me! Also, make sure to chew on some cyanoacrylate as an appetizer. Pairs well with the acetone aperitif.

What are your favorite spray paint colors?

Please don't lick the spray paint. This has been a safety warning from pbrommer.

What are your favorite spray paint colors?

Okay, so the lighting isn't great and it's been super crazy around here: baseball and softball seasons The purple is dark due to many layers of purple. The green is a nice green. The blue is my favorite, but it's been nicked up from moving (one house move and multiple storage space in said...

What are your favorite spray paint colors?

I love to use Duplicolor Metalcast Anodize sprays that are translucent. The colors are awesome, especially over a nicely wet sanded aluminum enclosure. One I just did was the Rust-Oleum Imaginations(?) color shift metal flake. One of the best results painting I've ever done. Black semi-gloss...

Is it worth trying to fix a power supply?

Sorry I missed that you quit on it - hard to read at a sunny track meet. Weird situation with it.

Is it worth trying to fix a power supply?

Is there a bridge rectifier (4 diodes) that convert AC to DC? Maybe that went bad. Or is there a polarity protection diode or resistor that might drop the voltage a bit? Just a thought for another place to check as well if the electrolytics don't solve it

    Double Overdrive choices

I stole it off the input of a series/parallel input for a Marshall Plexi clone. Only thing is it oscillates if you have the series/parallel on and the TS switched on. I'll draw it up - have to open it to remember.

    Double Overdrive choices

I'll throw in the Way Huge CamelToe combo I built: TS --> Red Llama. Mine has diode selectors and a "working" series/parallel switch.

    NOTAKLICHÉ PCB - Arriving Soon!

Well, one is just a regular household platypus. The other is AGENT P! PS: I'm not saying Perry got laser engraved into the automotive colorcast purple 1590B Purple Platypus project I made, but if he showed up there, 🤔

    Stewmac parts quality

From what I've gathered, StewMac has good quality parts but usually a tad on the pricy side.

    Leveling Up...

This is great advice. I've attempted some really tough projects. Without it, I wouldn't have learned how to troubleshoot with and audio probe and schematic. It helped me figure out why my ? Flanger from DeadEndFX wasn't flanging, my StringRinger didn't ring mod, and how I figured out how to...

DEMO Tough Nut Delay (Ibanez AD9)

Welp, time to throw yet another project on the pile of the PCB is available. I'm starting to love delays to make fun sounds.
