Buddy is asking me If I can build him a buffer box for the beginning of his chain that he can plug guitar in and has two outputs… mainly so one output goes to an always on tuner and the other output goes to the rest of his signal chain… I’ve never wired something with two outlets so I have no...
Wired up a friends silver sky and for the life of me i cant figure out why the volume control is not working.. I have it triple checked and wired exactly like this fralin example:
Been a minute since I posted any builds.. I’ve put together a lot lately but haven’t been posting pics… Here’s a double Klone I put together for a touring artist. Initially I was going to use a midi capable 3pdt but backed out last minute.. OCD kicked in because switch top was different shape…...
soooo...... I'm building a touring artist a double kliche for his rig and he challenged me to add midi capability to at least one side..... I'm using a 3pdt switch from oscillator devices "IMP 3pdt" for the midi side and it normally takes the place of true bypass wiring...... Anyone here be able...
I'm at Neanderthal level of understanding arduino but digging the basics lately to help my kiddo with an ironman helmet. that being said I'm interested in possibly making a kliche or another drive pedal midi ready for my current pedalboard.... I'm already triggering my hxstomp and my reverb with...
This is the first one of these I’ve built and it turned out really nice… Does light gain to medium gain very well… Nice OD Circuit… Actually doesn’t feel like it colors things up majorly…
so I watched a recent video about curve tracing germanium transistors to get a better idea of a closer HFE and leakage than just throwing them in the dca75 and hitting the go button.. which is what i've been doing and have gotten lucky most of my builds.... I attached two pics of the same...
So … I don’t have a Bass but an old friend of mine is a full time musician/Bass player so I put together a bass Klone for him… Actually sounds pretty dang good on guitar as well..
This is my second build of this PCB… Man I love these… Fairly straightforward and did the resistor changes to help with volume drop… Worked out perfect again. No issues and adjusted trimmers by eye… just getting the bulb in that sweet spot to pulse brightly and fade just right.
Been a slow couple months without many builds complete…. Failed miserably on a Byzantine flanger and an FV-1 board….I needed a win and this one came in clutch… Great choppy tremelo and the pulsing speed is very nice between the toggle settings.. Built this one for myself for a change…I use...
Highly recommend everyone build this pedal… I’ve gone down the rabbit hole trying to find a fuzz I like and so far this is the best I’ve ever heard for my setup… Does all the things and it’s a super easy build. Built this one for a friend after he heard mine on my board… He’s headed to LA next...
Have some room on my pedalboard and have all my wiring cinched up tight on the bottom. Looks like I have room for several more pedals and I want to keep two spots open for auditions…. Mostly drives that I would run I. Front of the chain…. Should I place them just wherever I can fit them and wire...
grabbed 20 j201's from guitarpcb having a sale last week.. out of 20 pieces 5 tested as 2 diode junctions with the dca75pro.. that's a 25% failure rate? Should I cut my losses and be happy i got 15 good j201's or should I contact them? What would you do?
Can someone point me in the direction to what type of headers to by for stacking the Byzantium flanger? I’ve never bought pin headers before… only single dip sockets for trannies and such… no idea what to buy.. assortment kit on Amazon looks like it doesn’t have pins… just an empty connector?
Since this has been a healthy outlet for me lately i’m still trying to push through my mental health issues and blow off some steam and crank out some builds… I’ve built a few of these now and everytime reminded this is a good sounding circuit…
