FV-1 w/ USB

I previously had an FV-1 D3lay and Kaleidoscope and loved them. The new version really dramatically improves the volume and clarity of the wet signal. I popped in the D3lay EEPROM and it sounded really great. The 3 CV pots seem to have more noticeable effect as well, which is nice especially on the tape modulation filter.

The board is straightforward as always to solder and wire. This was my first ever fish cap and thought it looked fun to add to the gut shot.

For the enclosure, the square hole wasn’t too hard to cut out. Drill a hole the diameter of the USB and then use a square file and flatten out the hole. Thanks to zgrav, chongmagic, and music6000 for the tips!

The most challenging part for me was drilling the SPDT hole so that the USB is flush against the wall. Took several times and I used a sticker and washer to cover up the hole.

But it looked pretty cool once I boxed it up. The pedal sounds great and I can’t wait to start learning how to edit and program the EEPROM chip. Onto Phase 2!
