So I have it kind of working.
Lamp lights up and I get effected sound in chorus mode.
But I am having these issues:
  1. Led's don't light up. I assumed the square pad was for positive (longer legs). I have yet to snip them. So I can always flip them if that is the issue.
  2. Vibrato mode is either so subtle or not working at all
  3. the lamp keeps pulsing whether footpedal switch is engaged or off.
  4. getting crackling on the left speed know. I have electrical tape on the back of pot. but maybe a grounding issue
any thoughts on some steps I can take to troubleshoot.

Square pad is the cathode, or negative, lead of the LED. Try flipping them. If that doesn’t work, try the LED resistor. What I’ve been doing lately is sticking the LED I’m gonna use on the breadboard and finding the value resistor I like before installing.
