    Looking for a picture of the old Samurai /Geisha PCB for trouble shooting

    Thank you Would you know if either of those ICs should work in this circuit?

    Looking for a picture of the old Samurai /Geisha PCB for trouble shooting

    I can’t find a picture of the old version of the PCB I’m getting sound, but it’s not loud, no distortion/distortion knob does nothing I used an LF347 and a LM324. I read they should work, but maybe not in this circuit.

    Sliver -> Barber LTD SR

    I got my 1st LTD board together. I went with the LTD SR suggestion from the chart. Socketed some of the components and had to combine some restistors to get some of the values. Some of my caps were just a little large, so it might look a little wacky too Here’s the new board and the “Barber Lab”

    Aion Duellist Gladiator Heavy Hand side too distorted?

    Oh yes!!! Sounds amazing now. Much more of a great Bluesbreaker now. Take my opinion for what it’s worth. I’ve been messing with BB circuits for a while, so even though I know it pretty well, I didnt play the Heavy Hand that long. What I heard was amazing though. I was playing it with my R7 Les...

    Aion Duellist Gladiator Heavy Hand side too distorted?

    Okay Went through all of the components. Classic mistake of having a 4k7 instead of the proper 47k in R22. Al most missed it. I’m t was the last resistor I checked because it was a bit obscured by the switch board wiring Thank you for your help

    XC Phase weak Phase

    Mine’s 4.7v on the zener and phases when the 2N5952 gate is at about 1.3v. It doesn’t match the GGG voltages there

    Aion Duellist Gladiator Heavy Hand side too distorted?

    I checked the double and triple resistors (odd values, so I had to do it that way) they are spot on The dip switches are confusing. The instructions say the hard clippers are engaged when the switch is off, the the board says they are engaged when on. I checked and “on” is engaged. I have...

    XC Phase weak Phase

    Compared the XC to my newer MXR. The MXR phases stronger, but I don’t know that it sounds better. The XC sounds better at a higher speed that the MXR. Maybe that’s the way the old ones were I’ll check the gates

    XC Phase weak Phase

    I used 5952s from the place that’s recommended. I can’t remember the name. Mine is phasing. I need to check it against the MXR still though

    Aion Duellist Gladiator Heavy Hand side too distorted?

    I finished the Aion Duellist and the Heavy Hand/Blues breaker side is super distorted, even with the gain all the way down. I checked over the hard clippers to make sue they weren’t engaged as well as checking other components. The Soloist side sounds good Not sure what’s going on Here are...

    XC Phase weak Phase

    My VREF was 4.2V at 9v in. Running it at 12v, it would go up to 4.8V. I tested the sound at both VREFS and biased again, because “why not?” It sounded the about the same at both, maybe 12v was stronger, but not sure The signal and tone of the pedal are great, but seems like it could phase...

    Sliver -> Barber LTD SR

    I’ve been on a Barber revival. Years ago I picked up an original ‘98 Tone Pump, then a Tone Pump EQ, later a Direct Drive LG Recently I picked up a Divided By 13 JRT 9/13 and in an Instagram message exchange, Brett Pappa recommended trying an LTD SR with it,sending me back down the Barber...

    XC Phase weak Phase

    Built the Pedal. It works, but the phasing seems weak, even after numerous attempts at getting the bias to correct it. Is there a good place to start troubleshooting? The signal comes out clear and strong, just seems like the phasing could be stronger. Could that be the nature of the build...
