Mystery machine and Pharmacist Pedals Completed

Yes, I've built the Conqueror. I don't like it as much as the MM because the mid range boost is always on. On the MM the MRB is switchable which I much prefer. Here's a link: https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/christmas-conqueror-white-pedal.15041/#post-173818

Mystery machine and Pharmacist Pedals Completed

I like them both, but if I think right now I prefer the Mystery Machine over the Pharmacist. Mainly because the tone section is more flexible on the MM over the single mids control on the Pharmacist.

Mystery machine and Pharmacist Pedals Completed

I had finished the builds of these pedals in December but was waiting for the artwork to be completed. My best bud is a design artist and worked up the pedal pics from appropriate Beatle related album covers modified to a more suitable rectangular pedal format. After gluing the designs to the...

    OC79 Hfe Values

Thanks all for the replies. Unfortunately, I had already completed the pedal by the time I had received any replies. I did come to the conclusion to try both values in the different positions. The problem arises is that listening to the results in one position, by the time you change out the...

    Christmas Conqueror White Pedal

Pics on my Conqueror Fuzz / White pedal build. My previous build was the Mystery Machine and I wanted to build the Conqueror to be able and compare the two. Obviously the Conqueror is not as versatile as the MM, but if you’re looking for just the fuzz effect, then this pedal may work for you...

    Possible bad caps?

As a follow up, a friend has a designated capacitance meter and I was able to use it to check the cap. Results was 222 uF. :)

    Possible bad caps?

Just noticed your post Robert. FYI: I did leave the leads on for about a minute. It did finally go to “OL” which is an indication that the range had been exceeded.

    Possible bad caps?

Good catch RU1👍🏻 I checked the online manual for my meter and the max uf range is 200. 🙁 Thanks to all for the help!

    Possible bad caps?

RU1, you might be on to something there.🧐 I don’t have any other caps with that high of a uF value to test against.

    Possible bad caps?

I was thinking maybe a bad batch. I got them from stomp box parts and their Nichicon brand which is a quality part. I stated in my earlier post that I tested some other uF rated caps and they all read within specs.

    Possible bad caps?

I tried several other electrolytic capacitors values (2.2uf, 33uf & 10uf) and they all read correctly. The leads are in all the way. On this meter, if the leads aren’t connected, the lead inputs will light up.

    Possible bad caps?

Do you think this is a possible bad cap?🤪 I have 10 of them and they all read approximately the same. P.S. is not the meter. 🧐

3PDT board to main board conmectors

I use either solid wire or trimmed leads from larger components as the usual 1/4 watt resistor leads are to small and flimsy for me. I like to build the pedal completely and give it some testing before disassembly and painting. The heavier leads support the stomp switches better and help keep...
