SMD help

Hello,
A friend of mine recently acquired a little electro harmonix Mel 9 pedal. As im sure you can assume. He used the wrong voltage and popped D2 on the board. I need help identifying what the diode is. Does anyone have experience with these??

Also if this isn't allowed I apologize and will remove the post.

Thanks in advance!

I think any SOT23 schottky or rectifier diode would do

Or you could ask on the ehx forum

There's a chance you can google out good picture of this diode.
Marking on a diode reads "someting 12".

The only thing I can tell from the code is V4 which I think is the date code V 2008 4 April

I did as @temol suggested but the only clear images I could find had the code burnt off

I would look at a SOT23 BAT54 without any lettering after it the BAT54A, C, S etc have different internal connections it's got low forward voltage and can take 30v

Can you give some details about what power was applied? Was it just reverse polarity or was it AC? Only asking because depending on what happened, you might have other problems in addition to D2.

There are many diodes in SOT23 package (3 leads). Sometimes it's a single diode, sometimes two diodes in a single package. And yes, they look like regular SMD transistor.
