Electrovibe mini - not working

Hello

Just got done building the mini version, and no sound. The bypass works, and I did notice the 7371 lamp does not light up? I did notice I first put the wrong charge pump chip in, I used a 1044. Replaced now with a 1054, but no lamp. I did measure 12v at the lamp. I tried (2) different 7371's.

Should the lamp light up?

I recently finished the larger one and the lamp lit right up so I believe so. However, depending on how the trimmers are set the lamp might not. I had them set at noon when I plugged it in.

These guys are going to want to see pictures too.

I did get it to work, stupid mistake, forgot the 12v regulator. I laughed, and cried.....

But, the sound is distorted. I adjusted both the bias and gain. Is there a setting to try start with, like a certain voltage at saw Q4 or Q3 (see attached)? And is there a board layout showing where the component numbers are on the boards?
