How to jimmy a rotary switch

Ok gang, twice now I have ordered a 1p12t rotary from Smallbear and both times the switches have been sent without the tabbed lock/stop washer that dictates how many turns are available. The first time around I had another switch to pilfer from, but I am now out of spares. I have sent them an email and am awaiting a response, but since I am impatient and the local mega hardware did not have anything comparable, is there an easy way to jury rig the switch?

Good thought. I would have to drill out the inner diameter, but not sure I would have enough washer left over to do me any good
in that case, might be easier to start with a larger washer and just cut a tab to bend down?
