Powersound Overdrive boost overload on B10k issue

I built the Powersound OD without the build docs being posted since all the values are printed on the circuit board. It works fine except there's an explosion of gain and volume at the 9.5 tail end point of the Drive knob. Perhaps I should have waited for the build docs assuming there was going to be some value changes. But it works fine other than that annoying issue. I'm thinking perhaps a C10k in it's place might ease the transition of overdrive. Any suggestions from builders who would know a whole lot more than me? Thanks guys

Changed out the B10k with the C1k. Worked like a champ. Pretty new to building and just curious as to why you suggested the 1k value instead of replacing the B10k with a C10k? Thanks!
Like you noted, from about 0 to 9, the gain control doesn’t really do much. Only from 9 to 10 do you get something recognizably overdriven.

The 1K pot *just* covers that range from 9 to 10, and going with an anti-log taper spreads the taper out across the dial even more.
