Thanks! It's Metallic Light Gold. For a more traditional gold color, I think I prefer it over the Metallic Dark Gold (which is cool in its own way, but has some orange and greenish sparkles under certain lighting conditions).

Yeah, I just used those two film caps because they're in the signal path, I could easily make them fit, and I had plenty on hand. Electros should work fine here (as they do in the original circuit).

Sorry to hear about this issue — seems frustrating! I just built a Kliché Mini over the weekend using a TC1044SCPA and (I think) the same board version, and it doesn't have this problem. Here's a pic in case there are any visible differences compared to yours.
