    Adding a Tone Control

Curious where would be the best spot to add a tone control into this Seamoon Fresh Fuzz circuit (ala Nash NGDP Fuzz)? After the IC like this, or before?

    Mini Rotary Switch board

Boards for the 2P4T and the 1P8T would be great. Finding a switch that is small and not taking up a huge amount of space is a PITA.

    Mini Rotary Switch board

I’ve got several protoboard builds I could use these for. They are just somewhat delicate and a little too long on the heat kills them. Hopefully a pcb would keep me from ruining to many. They are the only switch’s I’ve ever had issues with.

    Mini Rotary Switch board

That’s what I was thinking. Wouldn’t need to be much bigger than the switch.

    Mini Rotary Switch board

    Yep. Specifically the 2P4T. https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/mini-rotary-switch-2p4t/

    Mini Rotary Switch board

Does anyone make a small breakout board for the little 8 pin mini rotary switches? I’ve seen the Rototone boards but that’s way more and bigger than I want. They are a pita to solder leads to (r.e. I just ruin em too easy).

    Madbean Violenzz FF

Thanks. Steel brush on a dremel. It was really cold so I took about 3 minutes and did that. The pics really make the odd scratches show, but in person you don't see them hardly at all.

Finally got this thing done. Had problems with it not passing signal once boxed and tracked it down to a faulty pot. Of course I had to order more because you never have that one part you need. Ended up putting a BC183 (Hfe 230) in Q1 and a BC109C (Hfe 500) in Q2 and biasing at 3V. I didn't have...

    Anubis into a Circulator

I’m sure I’ve posted both of these before, but I’ve never stacked them. I’ve ran some dirt/fuzz into the Circulator before, but not the Anubis (aka Dung Beetle here). Even my wife commented how good they sound together! Need to get another clear knob for the circulator. Edit: man, that’s a...

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

Finally put in a 4558 and that fixed everything. All the low slew rate chips I put in work fine. A pretty nice distortion and no need for the LPB1 at that point. I've added some asymmetrical clipping between pins 6-7 (two red LED and a Bat41) and that helped rough it up a bit more. Looking...

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

@Chuck D. Bones I breadboarded this using a TL072 (didn’t have an LM4558) and it works no problems other than it was pretty gated and barely made unity volume . Changed the 470k resistor to a 330k and that solved it the gating but smoothed it out a bit more than I like. I put an LPB1 before it...

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

Here's a redo on the top. Here's the settings I used. Need to switch to mm, but this will work for now.

Poop. I forgot to pick the gnd net for the top layer on the pour.

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

Ok. I took some of your suggestions and reqorked a few traces. Added a bototm and top ground plane as well. Here's what I got.

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

Good call on the LED ground pad. Although, I'm never sure where I'm gonna mount an LED so it's not terribly important. I don't mind not using a footswitch breakout board, although I could move the pads. Still playing with it. I haven't done the ground pour yet as I wanted some feedback on the...

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

OK. I tried doing a different layout that would at least put the in, out, and power in a reasonable spot. All the verifications pass. Please give me some critique on how to layout this better. Grounds again are highlighted red for reference.

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

When I add extra ground pads I just need to make sure they are on the GND net (or whatever net the grounds are on), correct?

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

Yep. I haven't added any ground pads yet. I want to learn how to do a proper ground plane so I'm kinda waiting on some advice. @PedalPCB and @Chuck D. Bones : I ran the following versifications. Check Design Rules ensures no traces, pads, or holes intersect or get too close to each other...

HELP! Diptrace - First try at PCB layout

I'm moving the info from another thread (https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/pcb-layout-guidance.8843/) so as to not commandeer it's topic. This will be an exercise hopefully to let me learn some of the basics of Diptrace and to get valuable feedback from y'all who know what you're doing. Be...

    HELP! PCB Layout Guidance

I’ll rework this over the weekend as I have time. I haven’t breadboarded it yet. Was really just messing around to get a feel for Diptrace. Others have though. https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=12522 I think I’ll start a new thread on this particular circuit so we can keep...
