    HELP! PCB Layout Guidance

Here is the schematic. Here is the top. Yes a two layer board. Here is the bottom with spoked grounds. I left my mouse on the grounds to make them red and the top silkscreen for reference. All the traces and ground fill are on the bottom.

    HELP! PCB Layout Guidance

Sorry to revive this and cabbage on, but there’s some good info in here. I’ve just started to use diptrace. Had a little voltage inverter for positive ground circuits that seems to work. Anyway, I’m trying a slightly larger circuit and had question about the ground plane. I have through plated...

What auto lacquer are you using?

    Acrylic paint pens and Envirotex

The pen manufacturer states to cure on ceramic or glass "Step 3: After fully dry (at least 24 hours), place your project into a cold oven; Turn oven to 350 ̊F (180 ̊C);" keeps it from flaking/scratching off so easy I guess. I don't mind envirotex. The 16oz kit (8oz each) cost me about $15 on...

    Acrylic paint pens and Envirotex

Anyone doodle their own artwork then pour epoxy on it? I’ve done several following Pachyderm Pedals tutorial which basically has you baking the art before epoxy which the paint pens recommend if painting on glass and such. I really don’t like the change in color when baking and wondered if...

    Wall of Shame: pedal abominations

I’ve only built 10 pedals so far. This was my first and probably my worst wiring job. Just had to use a 1590A  but here’s a CMoy amp from 15 years ago or so and was my first project.

First Kliché Overdrive Build (5th Klon circuit build)

That looks way easier than the Minitaur board I built mine on. Of course Pickdropper makes it look easy.

Tone Bender MK. I (Tone Vendor)…

Yeah, I’m to old and fat to join. I won’t even survive global warming. As usual I’m about 20 years late getting into something.

Looking forward to hearing the sound clips! Where does one go to even find legit AC128’s?

    Sunflower

Good with some decent volume. Never played a fuzzface type pedal so I’m just going off what I’ve heard online.

    Sunflower

Got my Sunflower done last evening. 2G303 in Q1 (HFe/leakage 97/35) and a 2G308 for Q2 (178/63) from Smallbear. With the stock R3 I couldn’t get the bias voltage below about -7.0V. Since I wasn’t shooting for a Sunbender I pulled R3 and R4 and put in sockets. Tried several different resistor...

🤣🤣🤣🤣 and I thought the LED in the chicken’s eye was the ticket!

    Chickenhead

I did the alcohol inks first. Sealed the ink with Kamar spray, then cut out the waterslide to fit in the bare spot. I’ve done a couple other enclosures with inks without slides as well.

Finally got my oxblood knobs! They just miss touching by about 1/16”. This pedal is one of my favorites once I got the bias V up. Thanks for the help with that!

    Brown Betty

Yep. It’s not nearly as close on those left two as it appears. The gut shot shows that better. I wasn’t straight up from the pedal when I snapped the pic. I’ve done a little filing as well. It’s always the spacing I have trouble with. The drill press fence is helpful to keep them in a line though.

Anyone ever use the TI 2G30x (301,303,308) in the Sunflower?

    Chickenhead CV7112 orientation.

Set the bias at 6.75V and wham! There it is! Awesome fricken pedal. This is gonna be so much fun. thanks everyone!
