Problems with My Arcadilator Pedal Build. Would love help :)

Hmm. It could be the way you've got your power wired. Do you have a multimeter to measure voltage and check continuity? See the empty 9v and Ground contacts you have at the top of the board? I'm curious if you need to connect those to power/ground or of the switch connections are enough on this...

Problems with My Arcadilator Pedal Build. Would love help :)

Yeah, the blue part marked "input trim" on the board. You can adjust it with a small screw driver and should hear a difference as you play around on the guitar

Problems with My Arcadilator Pedal Build. Would love help :)

I built one of these for someone else ages ago, but don't recall much now. From the doc it looks like it affects the glitchiness of the signal, so you'd want to strum the guitar and turn the trimpot until you feel it's set where you like it:

    Low Tide Mini (finally)

Had this board half populated for ages, but finally got around to finishing it up this week. First off, thanks to all those intrepid souls who built theirs first, as that's what helped me feel good about making sure I had the right caps and standoffs. Also thanks to our (hopefully temporarily)...

Problems with My Arcadilator Pedal Build. Would love help :)

Dumb question, but I assume you've already adjusted the input trimpot for max volume?

    Enclosure Drilling

I picked up a used drill press for next to nothing years ago, when I really didn't have the space for it, but am so glad I've kept it alive. These days I eyeball the markings (unless it's a complex pedal or something I can easily use one of the PedalPCB guides for), use a center punch then a...

First completed build: unison double tracker

Great job (especially persevering after the first attempt---many folks would have given up then and there)! Excellent sounding pedal, too

Encouraged with first build - Paragon Mini

Nice job! I can't count the amount of times I've been confused by a non-working pedal only to realize I hadn't put the ICs in, so welcome to the club. Drilling is something I still find stressful too

    Deflector Reverb - noise

@owlexifry this won't make you feel any better, but I've also got a Deflector with huge noise issues (sounds fine for the first few minutes of playing, then gets all intermittent and full of static). I've had to leave in the "fail pile" for a few years now, as it frustrated me too much (this was...

    Unicab

Yeah, I figured it wasn't going to be very likely I'd be switching it on/off, but whatever works for you in the end

    Unicab

For what it's worth, I made this one a while back with a simple DI circuit and XLR out included in the 125A enclosure. Works well!

    How to attach FV-1

The FV-1 chip is attached via surface mount soldering. It's not thru-hole like the rest of the components (ie, the legs of the chip don't go through holes in the PCB). It's tricky with a standard soldering iron, but can be done if you are careful

What's your favorite tremolo pedal circuit?

These days I've been enjoying the VFE Old School, as it has dynamic options to base the depth or speed on your picking, which is very nice once dialed in.

How do you install your footswitches ? What to do with the various rings ?

Hey! Thanks so much for the kind words. Reminds me to finish some builds I've got on the go. To be honest, my older builds mostly all used the white washers, simply because I had a huge stash of 3PDT switches that came with them. Eventually even places like Tayda have started providing switches...

    Lightspeed on vero

Thanks! There's a lot crackling and texture from trying to bake this in an oven years ago, then sanding most of that off, but thinking some of it looked cool. Ha

    Lightspeed on vero

Wanted to add a shot of the sides, as I tried to make sure the lines wrapped around (none of it is perfect, but looks cool enough).

    Lightspeed on vero

Been on the hunt for a new overdrive to use in front of my Templo Nomad amp, as I want something with a tone control to replace my old 250 build. I found the Benson Preamp underwhelming, so I figured I'd try the Lightspeed, as folks rave about it. So far I can see the appeal! It sounds great...

Tayda 125b won't screw closed? - Use a Machine Tap!

Happened to me with 2 screws on enclosure. I was able to use a self tapping screw to bore out the hole (but that snapped off inside one, alas). Good news was Tayda gave me a $10 credit

    Mach 1 (Greer Lightspeed)

Nice! Looks great. I haven't boxes my tagboard version up yet, but do really like it so far.
