Homemade Dual Overdrive - Kliche Mini and Little Green Scream Machine

Ah dang! That would have been much easier

Homemade Dual Overdrive - Kliche Mini and Little Green Scream Machine

This started with an idea to build a kind of two-stage Klon clone with a built in boost in front of it so that I could use the Klon side as a clean boost and then push it into the heavier clipping with the boost. After trying a bunch of different pedals in front of the Kliche mini I found I...

How to wire two separate PCBs into one combo drive?

Thank you, I did not know about the wiki.

How to wire two separate PCBs into one combo drive?

I want to try putting two of the Arche Boosts into one larger enclosure. It should fit physically, but I wanted to ask about how to wire it. I made an MS Paint showing my best guess: + power jack goes to both + on the PCBs - power jack goes to both - on the PCBs Right sleeve (on diagram) goes...

SOLVED Informant Overdrive Cap Value C101

Solution: Capacitor C101 on the 220504 rev should be a 100nF capacitor. I am populating the new 220504 rev of the Informant Overdrive but have an issue with the value of the capacitor at C101. The printing on the pcb looks like it says 100r or a slightly misprinted 100n. The build guide, which...

    Super '64

That makes sense. I was thinking of it like a dying 9V battery lowering the headroom on a pedal but if the 9V measurement is from the drain to ground then what you are saying makes more sense.

    Super '64

This is my third PedalPCB build and the first where I didn't have to come to the forums for help. I just plugged it in and it worked! I love the sound of it, it is definitely going to replace the Son of Ben on my pedalboard as my low wattage amp-in-a-box pedal. I think I may swap the knobs for...

SOLVED Son of Ben - Can't Bias Trim 1 to recommended level

Problem: While trying to bias trim pot 1 on a Son of Ben PCB, the desired resistance was not within the trim pot range even with the trim pot at either extreme. Solution: The jumper between the drain of Q1 and the cathode of D100 was not properly attached. I removed the pcb from the case and...

SOLVED Son of Ben - Solder Pad Came Off

Thank you both! That is very helpful. I will update the OP and mark this thread as Solved.

SOLVED Son of Ben - Solder Pad Came Off

I tested the continuity with a multimeter. I got a beep between lugs 2A and 2B and between 3B and the remaining (left) solder pad. Does this help narrow down which holes to bridge?

SOLVED Son of Ben - Solder Pad Came Off

Thank you! I thought the solder bridge must be mimicking the dual gang in this way. I don't know which of the two options it is but this narrows down the potential solutions. Good spot on the melted capacitor, I will definitely replace it before trying to do anything with the pots.

SOLVED Son of Ben - Solder Pad Came Off

Here's the spot on the schematic showing the Bass potentiometer that I think the solder bridge effects. I don't see anything on here indicating where that solder bridge is located in the circuit but I am a novice at this. I was able to find some dual gang B1M pots so if I am unable to fix it for...

SOLVED Son of Ben - Solder Pad Came Off

Thanks, that's good to know. Is there a way to tell what the pad was connected to? I don't see any tracers going to that area.

SOLVED Son of Ben - Solder Pad Came Off

I'm not sure what the purpose of the bridge is, the pads don't look like they are connected to the unused holes.

SOLVED Son of Ben - Solder Pad Came Off

Problem: A solder pad on the Son of Ben PCB came off while installing components. The PCB requires a conducting bridge between the two solder pads when using a single gang potentiometer in the bass pot position. Solution: Bridge the two component holes as shown in the picture below by soldering...

SOLVED Paragon Mini: One LED, no sound, no bypass when plugged in

Thank you everyone for your help. It means a lot to know that you're not banging your head against the wall by yourself! I ended up taking out the parts and replacing components to see if I could find the issue and it looks like the culprit was a bad footswitch (I probably cooked it while...
