    Anti Static Bracelet & Mat

I use them when assembling/repairing PC's. I mostly build tube amps. A pedal here and there. SoCal winters when the Santa Anna winds blow can really make tons of static.

Hum from amp, buzz from guitar

I have one in my backyard. We used to be able to use wireless units out there for practice, then they upgraded the poles, transformers and wires from 500v-ish to 5000v-ish. They warned us no to let trees get within five feet or they would become lethal if you touched them. And the next time...

Hum from amp, buzz from guitar

My hum was the outside fuse box on the other side of the wall. If you rotate your body 360 and hear a quiet spot, then you're guitar is acting as an antenna. I bought an RF dectector on eBay and that's how I found the really noisy spot was the fuse box. Moved everything to the other side of...

First amp build, codename “Heavyweight Champ”. In progress.

Finishing walnut and pine are very different. Pine needs to be sealed before finishing or it will be blotchy! I used Varathane seal first, then their 'gunstock' color stain on this. Then rattle can Minwax satin poly. I used the oil based product for all three of these. Then knocked down...

Explain like I'm 5, what is going on in this pedal to make is sound like this, please?

I've been playing for 58 years, but the arthritis is getting worse and worse. You'll soon be better than I am! I recently strained my left ring finger in a five fret stretch. Normally I wouldn't have, but I was quickly switching back and forth from chords to lead and *missed*...

“How did they make that sound” thread

I do, but I stick to the amp tech page. Some of those other pages are just full of fools....

    Procreate users?

I use Visio. Older versions are available for Windows for a low price, brand new is *very* expensive. But I did find this review of pro's and con's. https://doubletap.art/can-procreate-be-used-for-graphic-design-pros-and-cons-explained/

Parasite Wah pot that fits all the specs/dimensions

They say when it rains it pours.... My RAM truck overheated on the way home a month ago, lost the serpentine belt because the water pump had like 5 inches of up and down play in it. Killed the fan, the shroud, and the heat generated fried the power steering and the transmission. In the shop...

Anyone Keep a Log Book of Your Pedals and Pedal Settings?

Ditto, with 'caption' of what sound/song it's for, in a folder labeled pedal and amp settings. Far faster, no paper, never loose it in the cloud.

Parasite Wah pot that fits all the specs/dimensions

I did find some, but can't remember what they were. They are in the packaging I got with them with part#/supplier data. I have the project in mothballs right now as I kept getting covid repeatedly after this and all the way up to the beginning of 2024. I seemed to have developed a very good...

    Points/Rewards System

This strain I've bred for almost a decade has developed a beautiful aroma. Pineapple, watermelon, pine, skunk, and citrus. Good CBD as well as THC. Glistens with crystals!!!!

    What's on the workbench?

Yeah, I can't even play video games anymore. Arthritis in my fingers. The more I use them, the faster they'll stop working completely. So, if I'm gonna wear them out it'll be on the guitar!!!!
