I just used some low gain mp38 (40ish) in a Cross Containinator. It was really nice, I was surprised how well it turned out. A much different sound than I was expecting.

Yeah, your report sounds like my experience, I thought I had the new revision given when I bought it. Just goes back to the old saying about assuming... I've still got a parentheses fuzz I need to box up so I can make a good comparison video. :)

The O1 and O2 pads on the effect board are reversed so you need to wire O1e -> O2fs and O2e -> O2fs

Just an idea, but have you attempted to simulate what you want to do manually? For instance remove the ATtiny from the equation completely and have 5v running to two on/off spst one for each relay. That way you can determine if it's the circuit or your code.

No worries, that was the problem, guess I threw some resistors in the wrong pile and didn't pay attention. 😦

The gain and bias trimmers both affect the brightness of the bulb. I'll definitely focus on going backwards from that capacitor to the reference voltages.
