I had watched a video that mentioned dual chips. I guess that was a mis-speak? why would there be two. anyway, you're output requires no excuses.

The Parentheses at low gain settings

Don't forget to set the boost to an appropriate level so you can blast off without getting saturated, just some more volume and added low end harmonics is good right?

The Parentheses at low gain settings

Sorry, man, overlooked it. I just Dial the gain down to near zero, set the tone and crank the main volume up to get unity and then adjust higher as needed to get a light crunch. Mileage may vary

    NKT275's

I did not the price was too high for me without knowing more. I am still looking for a matched set for reasonable money for one fuzz. The BART trannies are fantastic, though in the fuzz I have

The Parentheses at low gain settings

This Rat is even nicer for lower gain than the Informant is, imo. It's less compressed and has a more open, natural tube type distortion. Couple that with the Boost onboard and you get a really nice lower gain situation that drives an amp and provides plenty of low end thump and grind without...

can the Phoenix Ultra Overdrive be an HRM?

are these two totally different circuits or is the HRM just a voicing mod?

    1981 DRV (Informant)

first I'm seeing this post. Sounds like really great mods for this pedal. I built the standard PCB and don't really understand the technical aspects of these mods or how to do them but they sound extremely useful in expanding this circuit. It's a great sounding RAT to begin with, the tone...

    NKT275's

yes, I'm after some of the russians too, but I'd also like some 275's as well. thanks for the numbers. Is this going to apply to all germanium sets, no matter type?

    NKT275's

Ah, it uses GT402 Barts. Not sure which 402 though. like I said, pretty impressed with it. Correction, a B ad an E It pushing a Dumbloid clone or a Clean Drive clone is immensely satisfying.

    NKT275's

Not sure, they don't match what's in the link you posted. I guess they're newer? Again, I'm new to all this

    NKT275's

Cool, thanks for the info. Not that I have much of a source, just might be able to get some for affordable prices. Still, it would be more than I'd like to pay for a pedal part. The Fuzz Face I just purchased is just so great I need to make them

    NKT275's

Knowing little about vintage transistors, if one would find some of these that are neither red nor white dot and test good, is it to be expected that they will work fine in a fuzz circuit? Provided they could be had for not terrible money, is it worth it to spend a little extra to have them...
