DEMO Lectric-fx Downtown-EHX deluxe octave multiplexer

Jimi, what part were you guys discussing? Was it the level of the fuzz in relation to the octave and the perceived volume drop? Or was it something else?

DEMO Lectric-fx Downtown-EHX deluxe octave multiplexer

I've had this one done for a while but not boxed up due to various reasons and experimenting with values for the passive blend of the fuzz pot. This is based on the big box late 70s/early 80s version and not the newer 3 knob version. This is a monophonic pedal so chords and lower notes do not...

    Lectric FX Space Harp Mod

While I'm currently at work and looking at the schematic, it should be using a potentiometer to go from one end of the switch to the other. As to what value of caps and pot I can't say at the current moment. While the feedback pot may be worthwhile to some I feel like the switch is perfect as...

Lectric FX SH3 (EHX Small Stone)

I still have to build my V1 which is in my build queue, but the 2 and 3 have a different sound and feel. I plan on doing a shoot out comparison video after I build V1 to give any idea of which version is better suited to anyone looking to build one.

    MadBean Total Recall

Oh come on Jeff, people will run 4 overdrives that are modded Tube Screamers all set to sound the same but sweat two taps to the run best analog delay made? If it's your sound you make sacrifices. How big a pedalboard are ya'll using? Does any one play guitar or just effects🤡 :ROFLMAO:

    MadBean Total Recall

this is positive ground and requires a high current power source as this eats up some mA's lol. You can run it on a voodoo labs power supply by running the two high current taps at 12v with the voltage double cable. still, I run the power supply out of the auxiliary power tap on the pp2+.

    MadBean Total Recall

the build is not bad, it's the calibration that takes time to get right. Also the cost is what throws a lot of people off. To me it's worth it. There really isn't a builder friendly version, it is what it is. I agree that it is tig ol' bitties, and I run the DMM with the deluxe version the ECHO...

    MadBean Total Recall

turned out great Tim, delay is the best and the DMM is the crème de la crème of analog delay. @Harry Klippton if ever in doubt as to what to play on a delay pedal, just go into full on runaway oscillations and make spaceship sounds, there is a song by the Matthew Good Band called Hello Time...

    New Test Rig

There are quite a few modulation and delay projects that require a signal to set clocks and other parameters. With the oscillator you don't need your rig. You can plug in headphones at your bench and do it there. You could also use your looper pedal into to it. The audio probe isn't just for...

    New Test Rig

It's an older 3pdt RR board. I used what I had on hand. Everything I did with this build was to have maximum functionality and have everything in one box. Most of the time I can test a build without leaving the bench. I think if you put something like this out there would be fewer...

    New Test Rig

It is a jmk board and the rotary is connected to a Madbean road rage board for all the different voltages. I'm likely going to build a muff of the large variety soon so I will show how it works before I box it

    New Test Rig

That's why I made my labeling of everything very clear. But really I wish everyone had one of these on their bench

    New Test Rig

While I have been busy with work/home/and other aspects of guitar I found time the past couple days to put this together. While a test rig may not have the sex appeal of a fuzz or delay, a solid test rig is a necessity and a mainstay on my bench and my most used pedal. This is my test rig V2 as...

    Aion Blueshift-Boss DC-2 Dimension C

Anyone who knows me knows that I am all about modulation. Having built all manners of fuzz, distortion, envelope filters and delay, modulation is my thing (I'm lumping phasers in here too). I had always heard how great the DC-2 is, and there are artists that I really like who use it as well. We...

    What's on the workbench?

Charge pump and relay bypass I'm assuming.

DuoCast (But what exactly is it?)

Nice, I have two teles. On my 50s blonde blackguard I have calaham slanted brass saddles. On my 60s lake placid blue I have calaham straight compensated steel saddles. The polished steel is slippery as hell but the soft brass has never been an issue. That's a purdy tele. Nothing beats a good...

DuoCast (But what exactly is it?)

Nice looking build. I agree with you, it's not for me. I'm not saying it's bad but maybe it's my rig that it doesn't jell with🤷
