I've built it. You need the extra depth for this (and most deadendfx projects) because they don't make provisions for jacks. All the jacks have to be installed over the pcb.

I love the Octron. Madbean used to have a board for a Pearl Octaver/Octron called the Low Rider. It was a killer circuit.

You won't notice a difference in sound with regular electros in those spots. A few circuits use tantalums in select spots for proper performance, but this, being a stripped down TS, you will be fine.

Check out the SRS EQ Exciter. It is the heaviest Fuzz Face derivative I know, and the EQ on it is out of this world. Almost like subtractive synthesis.

I have no "special" builds that I've kept. I only have a few pedals in my collection. No "mojo" parts. For the phasor ii, many have a switch pop. I kept one that doesn't. Lol. I'm spartan, and a bit of a luddite.
