    What's on the workbench?

They are a subsidiary of the Mojo peddlers that brought you Isle of Tone... :ROFLMAO:

    What's on the workbench?

Side Note: How TF am I supposed to know if you are telling the truth about all those mojo components? Do I eat the bunny to get the prize? Full Disclosure: Even as a guy who plans on selling Fuzz Faces for $175, I find this offensive... :ROFLMAO:

I've seen some wild shit before but this is Isle of Tone level stuff.

    Sandspur fuzz electrolytic caps

16v is fine. Voltage delivered to the circuit will be less than 9 vDC most likely and those are double that rating.

    PSA: Usable Top Jack Area

Revised my Hardware and Tayda Drill Coordinate layers in my design docs:

    PSA: Usable Top Jack Area

Well that’s the thing. My holes are only 1mm over too far. Technical only the edge of the HOLE would have to encroach before they caught it and by then it’d be way too late. In this case, I’m fine. I’ll widen the holes ever so slightly and it won’t even be visible. I just wanted to throw it...

The useable width for 125B jack area is 50 mm. Ask me how I know…😂

    Tone Bender Mk2 Transistors?....

    I don;t socket transistors. I always breadboard.

how have you been testing sound? I see the ground pads for the jacks look like they haven’t been used.

Electrovibe very subtle effect almost not noticeable, how important are the LDR?

To answer your original question, the LDRs are important. The values in the build docs are all good suggestions. Do you have a data sheet for the ones you used?

Electrovibe very subtle effect almost not noticeable, how important are the LDR?

Did you have a light shield when you were adjusting? It’s not required when you box it all up but during calibration and setting of the trimpots, you won’t register much change without it.

    Vick Audio Overdriver

Settled on 2kB after auditioning a few values. This made the useable gain range from about 40-100% on the dial of the gain control.

    Vick Audio Overdriver

Small update: I was able to play this over the last few days and I’m going to try a 1kA pit instead of 1kC. Whereas the 1kB seemed to bunch all of the gain control toward the end, the 1kC has too much in the beginning, making the pedal a bit farty at settings I’d prefer it wasn’t. Gonna pop...

Big Muff Diodes, Forward Voltage and the Big Monk SWAG

I wouldn't be chasing it if my tests with those ranges hadn't showed promise. Frankly, I think cap values and Vf have WAY more effect than the transistors but there was definitely a more than subtle difference once I went below 200 hFE on the transistors.

Big Muff Diodes, Forward Voltage and the Big Monk SWAG

I'm a nerd first and foremost. I like David Gilmour second. Obviously, I'm not the type of person who thinks you procur/build the gear your heroes have and you can play like them. With that said, Kit Rae has a couple of nuggets buried in his epochal correlating on contents (any Lovecraft nerds...

Big Muff Diodes, Forward Voltage and the Big Monk SWAG

I have been entertaining and researching some specific Vf ranges for diodes in a Ram's Head project I am working on. At the outset: I am trained as an Electrical Engineer, i.e. my degree is in Electrical Engineering. With that said, I'm a "Big Wires"/Utility Guy/Volts and Amps Man. IT usually...
