TH Black Eye (Soldano GTO) prototype build

What about the brand, part number and source for the 555 and filter caps? It's long in the past, but I remember a thread at DIYstomp that included someone with an issue and it turned out some variant of 555 didn't play nice in an SMPS at audio frequencies.

TH Black Eye (Soldano GTO) prototype build

Only quick fix I can think of is try some 220pF caps from grid to anode to kill that super high end.

Same here, except now I have to have a tele with firebird shape body. Dammit.

    Headphone amp recommendations?

I picked up a used a Two-Notes Cab M+ for about $200 and love it. Had a Simplifier before that and also didn't really dig it. Software is easy and intuitive. Sounds great. Aux in makes it easy to play along with other stuff. XLR out...

    Missing Build Docs / Schematics

For me, this is definitely a case where it makes a lot more sense to buy one. I just got a Magma57 and it's flat out amazing. It made me drop all plans to design a vibrato pedal because I've got something better than I could make for $300. If it were a rare, out of production pedal, that's kind...

    What's on the workbench?

Never heard of it before, but the demo sounds pretty sweet. Hope we see a PCB for the one.

    [CLOSED] The current giveaway

I'd be more amped up about this current contest if I didn't already have one. It is super handy!

    "More" dumb tube stuff

Yeah, and it looks sparse. Ridiculously sweet. @vigilante398 , looks like a full-wave rectifier on the power input. I know you've mentioned that before, mind explaining or showing how that works? I know you power the heaters directly from the power supply at 12 or 9 volts.

This Week on the Breadboard: Boss OD-3

Think it'd be worth it to put a switch on C35 for a boost/OD option?

This Week on the Breadboard: A Digital Reverb

Looks like JLCpcb has PT2399 available in their SMD parts library. It wouldn't be that much of a stretch or expense to have custom 'reverb bricks' manufactured.
