Yeah, I had my DMM on the wrong setting! Q1 measures at 3.45v for drain, 2.45 at source, and 0 at gate. Should it be higher for drain as a boost?

Jumping R1 to R2 didn't help unfortunately. I believe this circuit is supposed to boost with the level all the way up and depth down, right? When the effect is engaged with the depth level halfway up, it sounds like I'm rolling my volume knob down from 10 to 8 for a good description.

How would you place a temp jumper? Just something between C1's connections or R1 to R2?

Fixed it! My grounds had a cold solder connection near the switch.

Update: Scraped the paint from the inside of the enclosure, put everything back together, and I still get oscillation from the Rat side with volume or gain dimed like before. Super puzzling. Update 2: Isolated it from all of my pedals and it made a rather large difference. I also have a mini...

Gut shots here. Oscillation went down slightly after trimming the transistors and cap leads but as soon as the volume on the Rat is dimed, it's immediate high pitched oscillation. I believe that the enclosure might be a good portion of my issue as my DMM doesn't pick up much continuation...

Duncan 59/Custom Hybrid in the bridge and Dimarzio Area 67 in the neck. Even with switching to the neck, it still had the same oscillation going from the Rat part of the circuit. Going to take some gut shots here in a sec.
