With power connected do you get any signal when you aren't in bypass? Also does your LED turn on? That would at least confirm power.

So, I may have answered my own question - but in looking at the 2N5089 datasheet it seems to imply that the 2N5088 transistor is essentially identical. The only difference I can see is a that the 5088 has slightly higher breakdown voltages which seem well above what this circuit would operate...

Thanks - this means I don't have to try and shoehorn a resistor somewhere into the build. This will hopefully be much cleaner than my first build which was less refined.

Understood - I was actually more interested in the bypass LED - I mostly assumed the modulation LED had the CLR in the circuit as well. Reading more threads it sounds as though PedalPCB typically includes CLR for all of the LEDs including the bypass LED.

Hello - I have the Chalumeau PCB and was looking over the build list and had a question about LEDs. Does the PCB address the CLR for the LED? It looks as though the instructions show soldering the LED directly to the PCB. Just wanted to check before accidentally frying an LED.
