Big props to Chuck D Bones for helping educate me on the importance of verifying transistor pinouts. At any rate, I used a pre-finished Hammond enclosure and am running an OP07 in here. The thing sounds huge and is doom in a box. Definitely the most unique of all of my fuzz and dirt pedals.

The distortion and octave footswitch functions work beautifully in all 4 rotary switch modes. Any idea what I may have done wrong to make the pedal go dead when I engage the boost footswitch?

I’m building up The Abyss and noticed that the BOM calls for a 5mm yellow LED placed at the center of the photo cell array. Is it OK to use a diffused yellow LED or is there an optimal LED to use for the optical cells?
