    Digital Delay Recommendations?

Always been a Boss DD-3, DD-7 (for the tap) user. I like clean long rhythmic delays. Thinking of looking at something different. Is there anything that is in the vein of the DDs but better I should check out? It would need to have tap tempo.

    Spatialist Reverb

Thought this one came out cool. Standard FV-1 build but I added the slam switch. Needed to have all the pots off board to make everything more comfortable. I would have preferred a soft touch foot switch, but the client wanted the standard. Enclosure is no-film on a lightly sanded bare box.

    Hyped Fuzz Mode Opinions

For those of you who have built the Hyped Fuzz. How useful do you find the center toggle position (gain boost mode)? I'm contemplating building mine with a regular DPDT switch. I.e., just having Fuzz 1 and Fuzz 2 mode.

    MBP Mysterioso and Wet Bar

I'm always unenthusiastic when I start building drives but usually ends up being some of my most satisfying builds. 🤷‍♂️ A couple of MBP drives. The first is the Mysterioso, sort of a super Red Lama with two channels. Red Lama, is not really my jam, but I like the options on this one. The...

    Ge Transistor Sorting

So, I'm diving into fuzz land. I ordered a few lots of Ge transistors from eBay and I'm planning to measure them all with my Peak DCA55. I was wondering how people usually sort them? Should I label each one or can I group them based on hfe and leakage?

Broken Speaker Distortion (ss/bs fck od)

This was a gift from benny_profane. It's a 1590BB layout of the Smallsound/Bigsound F@$k Overdrive. I didn't study the circuit in depth but the general tone has a Rat flavor to my ears. The extra controls on the bottom interact with the momentary switch to produce a broken speaker sound on...

    MBP Degenerator

Last one of '23. This is the MBP Degenerator. It's a cool 2399 delay with a pitch bendy feature (Bloom) on the delays. I think it shines most set up for slap back, the pitch bend sound really cool and interesting. Kind of a low-fi feel.

    MBP Kingmaker (Pearl FG-1 Flanger)

A different flavor of flanger, for sure. It's in the BF-2 camp but to my ears, sounds like the odd harmonic setting on a A/DA flange. I still want to wrap my head around the depth and clock trimmers. There were lots of variation in sound available by playing with those. MB's flanger magic...

    MBP RipJaw (Marshall Shredmaster)

This thing shreds! I dig it. The tone controls work, but if you're not a fan of the base sound they don't take very far away from that. No film Mr. Krueger on a bare box.

    Bad People Fuzz (MadBean Poindexter)

This one came out cool. The enclosure is no-film but I got the idea to paint the label before transfer to block in some white area. Went pretty smooth except I over glued and got some bubbles. Since it's such an ugly aesthetic, anyways, I left it alone. Goes with the way it sounds :cool...

    Rat with a 3-band EQ?

Are there any RAT projects out there with more tone shaping ability? A 2 or 3 band EQ?

    Current Lover 2023

All the new 2023 flangers at Mad Bean are really excellent. This one rounds out the last of them for me. I've built all the previous versions and I just can't get over how much better these sound. The noise floors are unbelievable quiet. Highly recommended.

    THAT4316 Compressor

Wanted to post some love for this great compressor. PCB was designed by @benny_profane based on a Wayne Kirkwood article. It came loaded with most of the smd parts, I only had to add the THAT chip and the through hole parts. The foot switch is BP’s too, it has a capacitor pined to the LED to...

    Signal for a Latching Relay

I was wondering how long of a 5V signal pulse is needed from a microcontroller to flip a latching relay? Also, what if the signal were applied for for a longer time, would the relay change states? Or does it latch only after the signal goes back to 0V?

    Baking Tayda UV Print

I was contemplating adding a no-film water slide to the side of an enclosure that has a Tayda UV print on the face. I was wondering if anybody has ever baked a UV print?

    Adobe Illustrator Replacement Suggestions?

I have been using the same copy of AI CS3 for years now. I am really familiar with this software and really like it. However, I have stoped updating my mac desktop for several years now for fear of loosing access to my AI (I lost it on my laptop a few years back after an update). Anyway, I...

Tayda UV Printing - Double Color Option

I'm planning to submit a Tayda UV print. It's a matte dark gray enclosure and the graphics are yellow. I'd like the yellow to really pop. I was planning on doing a double white print underneath, but now they have a new option to print the color twice. I was hoping to get some wisdom from the...

PSA- Tayda 2.1mm DC Jacks (Never mind, I just screwed up)

Just a heads up. I've had two builds now where I get everything boxed up and the the 9V power barrel doesn't fit into the jack! I just went through my stash and found 5 jacks out of ~15 that are too small to accept my DC adaptors and 1 that was way too big. I'm checking them before instal...

    Black Water - Low Tide

So, I've wanted to build this for awhile, but I was really turned off by hearing that it was a subtle effect. I finally got the LFO section breadboarded and was able to find that lowering the C38 value increases the depth range of the modulation. In my build I went with a 47n cap, but I think...

Low Tide Randomizer Peak to Peak Voltage

Does anyone have experience with Attiny IC in the Low Tide? What is the expected peak to peak output of the random wave form?
