SOLVED Part of PT2399 delay circuit responsible for repeats (Madbean Degenerator)

Wow, thanks for the fast replies. It was indeed Q1. I used an SMD adapter as you can see, and I must have had shoddy connections on the pin headers I used to connect it to the PCB. I replaced it with a fresh one and it's good to go!

SOLVED Part of PT2399 delay circuit responsible for repeats (Madbean Degenerator)

Is there a typical spot in a PT2399 delay circuit responsible for the number of repeats? I built a Madbean Degenerator and everything works perfectly, except the feedback pot is unresponsive, only producing one repeat regardless of position. I tried replacing the pot, the PT2399 chip and...

That actually looks pretty good. Double white?

    UV print over hammered enclosures

Has anyone successfully done a Tayda UV print over one of their hammered enclosures? I'm thinking about trying it, but I'm worried that text over an uneven surface won't look right.

    VHS -- aka Primary Colors

I thought it was intentional because the suffix -ous means "full of," so kinda like full of chorus. Or it takes inspiration from the dodgy early '80s Japanese pedal name spellings, think the Sustainar.

    Pestle

It's worth running at 18V. I found the EQ not responsive enough at 9V, and according to the EQD site, running it at 18V will give it more range. I used the charge pump daughter board to run it at 18V, and now it lets you shave off more top end, which is good because it's a naturally bright pedal.

What's your favorite tremolo pedal circuit?

I'm kinda out of the loop when it comes to tremolos. What makes a good tremolo, besides features? Doesn't it just modulate your volume without a particularly distinct sound, unlike say an overdrive? Are you looking for coloration (or not) from the circuit? I've always used a TR-2, and it's been...

    DEMO Fornicus Overdrive

I agree with everything said here. You need to dime the trimpot for it to sound right. I find the Mini a bit more versatile, but they cover similar territory.

    Beatle Juice Fuzz diode question

https://www.ebay.com/itm/271261029755 As a PSA, I bought these from eBay U.K. and they are legit. Haven't compared them with 4148s, but they sound fantastic and were about $7 shipped I also used BC547Bs from Amplified Parts and they are good as well.

The Pedal Formerly Known as Chela

Just built this with your "Absence" mod and I'm getting no distortion in the signal. All I have is a clean signal with a functioning EQ. I jumped R6 and PRES, and omitted C5. Maybe I missed something else? It was a lot of info to take in, but I probably just have a separate issue on my hands.

Removing cured UV gloss and printing

I've taken off a small amount (a couple words) of UV print by lifting it with an X-acto. The powder coat was still intact, but there were definitely some scrape artifacts. I'm curious about chemical solutions because I've been trying to do this on larger areas as well.

    Fornicus LEDs

I was thinking it would be weird if the momentary switch had a status LED. You would know when it's on because your foot is on it, plus your foot would cover up the LED.

    Fornicus LEDs

I'm working on the Fornicus and I'm a little confused by the LED configuration. On the PCB, there are three spots for LEDs, each unlabeled. In the doc, D1 is yellow, D2 is red, and I assume the third LED on the PCB is the bypass LED. From looking at the schematic, I believe the yellow is the...

The correct orientation for the keyway slot in a 3PDT is...

Started as an upper, now I'm a downer. Also, it was devastating when I first realized toggles have notches, too, and I saw all my builds with mismatched toggle notch directions. The horror. The horror.

Blue Shoe. How to avoid 6 knobs jamming into each other on 125B top?

I have Tayda 20mm skirted MXRs on one of my 3-in-a-row knob builds. You can make it work if you file the edges of the outer four pot holes, expanding them toward the sides of the enclosure, and then slightly bend the pots to fit. This would also be easier if you used the 19mm version.

    Pre-boost 2-in-1 wiring

This is probably something I should know by now, but I've never built a 2-in-1 and I'm having a hard time describing what I want in a search. How do I wire a footswitchable pre-boost? That is, I have two PCBs, a boost going into an OD, and I want one master footswitch that bypasses both, plus...

    Aion PCB's

Psst...on some of the Aion boards (other brands as well), you can stretch the legs of the pots and cram them into a standard PPCB enclosure if the layout is close enough.
