Regarding LED polarity. K means cathode right?

Ok, yeah. Tested it and turns out the leds from tayda are reversed. Good to know. I didn't realize that was a possibility. Time to see if that's why my parentheses isn't working.

Regarding LED polarity. K means cathode right?

Didn't test outside of the circuit. Based entirely on the flat side being the negative. I had an issue with a led only working on the parentheses when in reverse aswell. Leds were ordered from tayda. Is it possible to check for polarity whilst installed in the circuit with a DMM? Would be great...

Regarding LED polarity. K means cathode right?

I'll upload pics and a video of it working tomorrow.

Regarding LED polarity. K means cathode right?

Any idea why my moonshot tremolo is working with it wired in reverse? It's driving me a tad crazy trying to figure out why it works wired up backwards.

    Soldered 3PDT Breakout Board Upside-down

Ok so I had a similar experience with the daughterboard from the paragon build. Soldered it in upside down. So I wired it up with wires but the switch was turning on the opposite side of the effect. I had accidentally wired it backwards. Ordered another paragon pcb aaaaand I did it again...

Regarding LED polarity. K means cathode right?

I just built the moonshot tremolo and it didn't work at first. I had to reverse the LED that is enacting on the LDR and it works perfectly. Thing sounds gorgeous. But I'm so confused as to why it works when soldered in reverse to what the pcb says?

Parentheses overdrive led only lights up when soldered in backwards.

Ok I've gone through and reflowed every single connection for every component on the distortion side. I've checked the wiring for the footswitch. Tried putting the LED in the "right" way. Tested that the switch isn't the issue with a DMM and still nothing. Led is still only working when reversed...

Parentheses overdrive led only lights up when soldered in backwards.

So for the boost and octave leds the flat sides (cathode side) are facing the k's but for the distortion, I had to reverse it so the anode was on the k side for it to work. Will do, thanks.

Parentheses overdrive led only lights up when soldered in backwards.

The leds are just on the wrong sides due to troubleshooting.

Parentheses overdrive led only lights up when soldered in backwards.

Dose anyone know why this might be? the boost side is working great but the distortion side is only letting through a tiny bit of very quiet signal. Also curiously the led only works in when soldered in backwards to what is printed on the pcb and doesn't light up at all when soldered in correctly.

    Parentheses not working.

I just gave it a quick look over and somthing weird that I noticed is that I need to solder in the overdrive led backwards for it to light up when the switch is pressed. It doesn't light up at all with the cathode soldered to the "k pad", could this indicate anything? Looks like I'll be needing...

    Parentheses not working.

Q1 is at the low end of the spec, but it's ok for how EQD designed this pedal. Ah sorry, 0.818V was the reading for Q5. Said Q2 by accident.

    Parentheses not working.

    Q1 - 0.730V Q2 - 0.818V Q6 - 4.676V IC1 - 4.178V R18 - 4.591V Thanks, really appreciate this help. Planning on swapping the indicator leds to the other side if I can get this thing working.

    Parentheses not working.

I've got a multimeter that can test voltage if that's ok. Not entirely sure how. Where and what voltages should I be checking and looking out for if you don't mind my asking?

    Parentheses not working.

Also does it look as though I've intalled the 308 correctly? I was a little confused by the datasheet.

    Parentheses not working.

Ok, I've swapped out the capacitors for the correct types. Still the exact same issue. The boost side seems to work well but as soon as I turn on the distortion switch it kills the signal. Also the internal clipping led doesn't light up. Could the problem be that I've added the two optional...

Gloss v or Gloss M? Tayda UV Printing

Cool. Cheers. Was wondering what the actual difference between them was. I assumed the m stood for matte but couldn't figure out the v. Have since learnt it stands for varnish.

Gloss v or Gloss M? Tayda UV Printing

Hi I was wondering what the difference would be? You can add the top layer as either of those.

    Tayda UV Printing

Ok got it figured out. Turns out Inkscape is crap. I used adobe illustrator and it is working perfectly. There's an issue in Inkscape with anti aliasing.
