I had the day off for Caesar Chavez day and spent some time finishing up this build as well as getting some PCBs built up.
I feel pretty good about this one even though the paint didn't come out perfect. It was my first time etching and I learned a lot. The "DRIVE" lettering is neon yellow but never really appears that way in photos. Also went with a yellow LED.
I didn't have any 2N5089's so I used a 2n5088 and it is super mellow, but does give a good clean boost/drive without the volume getting out of hand, adding just a little heft. I will grab some 2N5089's one of these days and make the switch to get the proper gain.
