Like an idiot I soldered the tube socket on the wrong side of the daughter board. Will it work if I just place the daughter boards on the opposite sides?

Nope, the pinouts are different. The 12AX7-Left will not work "backwards" on the right, and vice versa.

Okay, thanks. I'll attempt to desolder it. But I may need to order a new daughter board.

Best of luck, it's not impossible but it's not fun. When I need to desolder tube sockets I use a hot plate, but have also had decent results with a hot air station.

I was able to get the socket off, but pulled the copper tubes in the holes out by accident. Just ordered a replacement board.
