So, I’m interested in some specific mods for the SD-1. Most people are concerned with frequency response, clipping and gain mods.
I’d like to be able to run the stock gain up a bit and not have it be so noisy. From my work and experience with fuzzes, I know that specially placed pF range caps can squash noise.
I’m not an opamp kind of guy. Most of the time I buy commercial drive pedals. I socketed the IC on my older through hole board SD-1 and I’m wondering if there are any mods to keep the noise down a bit when I turn the gain up past halfway.
