Breadboard issue

Hey, it’s my first time using a breadboard, and I’m trying to tinker with a distortion plus circuit. Everything is wired up and it seems to be working, however, when I get the volume pot all the way up, it kills the signal. Any idea what may be causing this? Thanks in advance.

I've not had a bad potentiometer, but if the volume is killed when the pot is all the way up it almost sounds like the wiper is not making contact with the resistant track at that final part of the rotation.

Pull the potentiometer out and rotate it for maximum volume and measure the resistance between pins 3 and 2. I'd anticipate you'd see something in the region of 1 to 2 ohms.
