MichaelW Well-known member Sep 19, 2022 #1 Hey all, BOM calls for a 47u at C103. C103 on the board silkscreen says 10u. BOM has no 10u. I'm assuming it's supposed to be 10u? TIA!

Robert Reverse Engineer Sep 19, 2022 #2 47uF is correct, it's a filter cap for the Vref supply so either value will work fine. Last edited by a moderator: Sep 19, 2022
D Diynot Well-known member Sep 19, 2022 #3 I built mine very shortly after it came out and built it with the 10uf w/o issue
MichaelW Well-known member Sep 19, 2022 #4 I'm using 47u tants and they're "marginal". Probably going to need a bit of "English" to get them to fit. If I can safely sub 10u that's one less set of contortions to deal with hahah....

Robert Reverse Engineer Sep 19, 2022 #5 It'll work fine. I built the first one with 10uF, then after checking the schematic in the Boss service manual realized it should have been 47uF. Built the second prototype with 47uF, both function and sound identical.

No that is correct, it's supposed to be a BC560 but any BJT PNP would also work. I used a 2n5087 in mine. (Just mind the pinout orientation)
