Caesar Build

The Julia is the pedal that made me want to get into pedal building. After getting a few other builds under my belt I tackled this one. I went painstakingly slow populating the board. And it was worit as it worked the first time I plugged it in.

I was stoked until I realized i had put red LEDs in instead of blue. Was tempted to leave it, but wanted blue to match the art.

Getting everything into the case proved quite the challenge. I probably could have drilled the pots slightly higher, but in the end it all fit.

Wow! You are as it is said a "quick study".

That's a beautiful circuit and you have complimented it beautifully.

Hey thanks.

As far as quick study goes, I'm not sure. I feel like I've just taken Lego building to new heights. I can follow directions pretty good but I can't read a schematic to save my life.

The schematics always seem to call for way less parts than are on a PCB> I can't make heads or tails of it. Someday, I'm going to need to buckle down and just learn how to read them. But that's the less fun part.

After experimenting with the trim pot on this and seeing how those work, It makes me think that my first dud of a pedal wasn't actually a dud but needed a trim pot adjusted, Too bad I took it apart and eventually had to scrap it after damaging several pads.
