CDXL Classic?

Not sure why it took me so long to find out Jonny Greenwood used a DOD 440 on OK Computer but I have and now I've read through a bunch of old posts about the issues folks have had using the Xvive VTL5C4/2s in the classic build. Was wondering if the Classic has been permanently shelved due to this issue, or if another batch is in the works like it says on the site?

Alternatively, if the Classic has been retired, does anyone know if the 90s reissue still uses the vactrol, or if it also uses the OTA like the 2014 reissues. Haven't been able to find an answer in my googling, but would be handy in case I bite the bullet and save up for one. Thanks!

The reissue is more like the DOD FX25, it does not use a vactrol.

A couple folks have reported good results with the circuit using some alternate component values. I've sent the PCB out a few times for folks to try and report back, but so far I haven't gotten any answers as to whether it performs better or not.

I’d be interested to hear what you find out. My board with the reissue vactrol is still languishing in pedal purgatory.

I'd volunteer as yet another guinea pig if the Classic is still available, and it looks like there might've been more posts than I originally thought detailing swapping components to get the Xvive to work.

If not, the switch over to the FX25-style circuit was made on the 2014 reissue, is that right? I haven't been able to confirm whether or not the 90s reissue still used the vactrol, in case I tried looking for one of those on the secondary market to get the classic circuit the hard way.
