Cepheid Chorus for more Bass?

Are there any mods I can do (swapping Caps, etc.) to make the cepheid chorus more bass-friendly? Higher on the fretboard sounds great, but lower starts to clip a little bit. Or is that something in my build that's not expected?

The tonepad docs for their ce-2 clone have some useful information for modding the circuit to CE-2B specs, here's a screen capture:

Lemmie take a look at the cepheid docs and see if I can translate...the component labels here are not 1:1.

OK: effect level mod: put a 250kC pot in series with R35. That'll allow you to dial in less of the chorus effect, maybe it'll help make any clipping that you can't dial out less noticeable.

Wet bass mod: c-17. This one allows you to switch between a 34nf value and a 12nf value that may be better suited for bass. Circuit gurus will know more about exactly what this does...but you'd just be wiring a switchable 22nF capacitor in parallel with a C-17, which is changed to a 12nF value.

My tonepad CE-2 is still in the works, I'll be doing all of these offboard mods on that.

The last question is, did you end up using the 3207 set or the 3007 set in your build?

The 3007 version operates better up around 12v, and you might be able to squeeze out a little more headroom that way. Definitely don't try that with a 3207 though!

I did use the 3207 set, so 9v it is for me! I'll look at both of these mods. Appreciate the fast responses!
