EVibe Weirdness

Not a troubleshooting thread in the classic sense, as the effect is working wonderfully but I just finished giving the Monk Vibe makeover to the E-Vibe mini and I’m getting some weirdness:

1.) Bypass LED stays on after switching the effect off

2.) Effect “hesitates” and delays engaging.

I’m thinking maybe a charged capacitor in the power supply is messing things up? I’m bringing 18 vDC directly to the anode of D5, which I have subbed for a 100 ohm resistor and it then goes on to the first 100u/100n filter combo before the 12vDC regulator.

Any thoughts?

Nothing on the PCB should cause the issue you're having with the LED.

It's staying lit, but dimmer, correct? My guess is that the voltage on the cathode end of the LED is making it's way somewhere in the circuit where it should not be.

I'd look for a short of some sort. Solder splash, wire strand, possibly incorrect offboard wiring.

I’ll pull the audio board later and double check.
