Extra foot switch to the Paragon

I want to add a footswitch to engage the distortion mode on one of the sides of the Paragon. What would be the correct foot switch to connect to replace one off the dip-switches?

SPST if I’m not mistaken. I would check and make sure that’s a useful enough function before committing a switch to it.

The DIP switches are a “set it and forget it” type of thing on the Paragon.

And this is coming from a guy who LIVES to complicate simple thing.

I guess you're right. It's such a subtle change, I might be going overboard with it. Thanks for the info!

Plus there would be an inevitable volume drop when you switch on the distortion clipping

I have to be honest: I have not found much use for the Distortion mode. Personally, I have both sides set to Overdrive and set Side 1 to a light boost with Side 2 set to a medium gain overdrive.

I totally agree. I only use overdrive mode and find the two other ones useless. Distortion doesn't sound good to my ears, and Boost is redondant since in Overdrive mode there's a good chunk of the gain pot that's fairly clean!
I make them higher gain (100k resistor) into lower gain (1k resistor) and that's pretty much how I like them, both channels set to overdrive

Both halves are "high" gain on mine.
