Suuuper rewarding build, especially considering how much harder I made it on myself by stubbornly using 1/4w resistors. Wouldn't have been so annoying if a lot of these resistors didn't have lead sizes that are actually good for breadboards. Sounds spot on to the similar pedal, (even if that doesn't come across well in the demo). My batches of BC549s mostly either had HFEs ~300 (which iirc is technically out of spec?) or ~600, and just going off of sound and swapping them out ended on Q1 + Q3 being BC549s with HFEs ~600 and Q2 + Q4 being the ones around 300.
