While I wait for a couple of parts to finish my Low Tide build, I decided to finally build the Informant. I've had the board for a while, and the Tayda UV printed enclosure arrived over a month ago. I really like the graphics on the original, so like a lot of people here, I decided to stay mostly true to that while using the year I was born.
I was skeptical with this one, but I really like how it pushes my Friedman, and it sounds good in every gain setting. I noticed the controls are super interactive, so as you roll the gain up, you need to roll the cut down to compensate. Cut and volume are also very interactive. A ton of cool sounds in there. Pretty happy with the results!
I actually bought an original in the last pre-sale, I'm really curious to put them side by side when it arrives.
The light didn't help much, so the enclosure looks a little more grainy than it actually is, especially the black. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
