I will say that i got one, the cabsim is probably the most accurate ampeg overdrive sound i have heard. The compressor is also great. Sadly i sent it back because it had a bad drive pot and that pissed me off on a $500 dollar pedal. But i second and third this, its amazing.

That stinks about the bad pot. Did you use it for guitar or bass only?

Didn’t understand either of the jhs pedals in relation to the beach boys, but the demos I saw of this one did sound pretty fantastic with flats for a general 60s wrecking crew vibe (the drive section sounded great, but should’ve been a fuzz if they were going for beach boys since the BB bass tone is pretty much always exceptionally clean other than some fuzz bass stuff in the smile and sunflower sessions). I’d love to build one for sure.

I was using it with a p bass i built with dimarzios in it. My guitar teacher and I A/Bed with a rack mount sansamp and this one won hands down

I'm always drawn to pedals like this, for example, the Ibanez UE 303 B...

... but then I also always think to myself, "Well I could do the same thing but tailor it with the circuits I really want ..."

COMPRESSOR: VCA w/ order switcher	PedalPCB Creamery (the only VCA-offering by PPCB)	COMPRESSOR w/ order switcher

I'd add the Frequency Interchange HPF/LPF to the MPC above.
Also the added advantage of bypass switches for those effects of my choosing.



If the Punchline were added to the roster of "IN PROGRESS", I'd be champing at the bit to build it when its status became "COMPLETED".

I also love flats. Mostly because i hate buying bass strings.

I had flats on my Gretsch Rancher acoustic. That was fun — a custom "set" derived from cannibalising multiple string packages.
I liked it so much, I tried to get flats from the local B&M, they said "Yep, we've got 'em" and I didn't even think to check at the store but what they sold me was ground-wounds which are NOT flat...

As per my other post...
There are so many cool combos you could build that it makes difficult choosing of 4 specific circuits to include ... and that's the real reason for Dawson's Smörg!

I'd be okay if this project came to light as a 1590DD...
