C5 calls for 390n....sub ?

GE diode does the red/blue bands go in the square pad or the orange vertical ...i bought them from Mr PCB's components

Thanks, Mike

What’s the closest value to 390 you have?

Check the D9E with a multimeter as Russian diodes often have the bands on the Anode side for some reason. In that case the orange vertical will go to the square pad.

I’ll check in the a.m on the closest I have to 390n...will a pF work ?

Ive looked for few pics on builds , but can’t seem to make out on the GE the way it goes..I’ll look some more..

Thanks for the reply Nostradoomus

No Pf will be nowhere near what you need there. See if you have a 330n or 470n (those are more common values), maybe socket that cap until you get the right value ordered.

If you have a meter it’s very easy to check as diodes only conduct one way. Set your meter to the diode function and touch the positive/negative leads on each end of the diode...if you get a reading that is the polarity based on your black/red leads. If it measures both ways your diode is bad.

Ok thanks I do have those values...I found some on eBay the 390n’s....I’ll order them now

In the build reports I found a build that shows the correct way to put the diodes in....
