LT1054, linear or switching?

I'm building the DuoCast. Mouser has both "linear" and "switching" varieties for the LT1054 and the BOM does not specify. Which one do I want? and (briefly) what is the difference? Thanks!

I think that's an inaccurate description, the LT1054 is a switching voltage converter.

Just go with the LT1054CP:
