no more auto-suggestions in main search bar?

Used to be that when you would start to type something in the search bar, it would show 'autocomplete' product results below.

ex:

[in search bar] Pro[...]
there would be a drop down showing something like:
protoboard
pro-10 green overdrive
pro-10 blue overdrive
proposition distortion
procrastinator

with the thumbnails and everything.

is that permanently gone, or just a temporary hiccup?

The thumbnails were disabled because they weren't playing nice with the cache plugin, but that cache plugin has since been removed, so it's possible it could be re-enabled.

BTW the screenshot above was taken just now, no changes made at all.

Not sure why the suggestions aren't showing up on your end... it takes a few seconds for them to appear.

weird. it's been the same no matter what device and what wifi network I'm on, past 2 or 3 weeks. I thought it was a universal thing, but seems it's just on my end then
