Old SE-05 diodes?

Man, what are these? I guess they are old SE-05 but any idea how old, from where, when etc ... Got them at the local electronic store. Was hoping to test them as clipping diodes

Looks to be a diode. They put the symbol on it and everything.
Warm one up and see if its Vf changes much.

Was wondering mostly about the era, country etc... from what I can find , they should be silicon .

With that casing, probably for rough service. Auto, military, etc.

the only info that I found is in german and should be from 60's or 70's. I will test them in my "Shrieking Eel Electra Distortion" with dual Symmetrical Clipper. Maybe the fact that they are old will give them more leakage than modern silicon? could be a nice in between germanium and silicon sound...

These rectifier diodes could be selenium ones, which would explain "SE" instead of "SI".

yes that's the same link that I posted but directly from google translate. it seems to be the only info about theses SE-05. Anyways I'm currently uploading a demo video with various diodes (bat41, 1n914, D9D, se-05, talking notes for myself ) . The SE-05 are interesting, weirdly warm and harsh at the same time... They don't clip too hard, but harder than LED. lots of headroom but they still crunch.The closest one is the 1N914 in my test setup. so many words, so many words but here's the video:
