the only info that I found is in german and should be from 60's or 70's. I will test them in my "Shrieking Eel Electra Distortion" with dual Symmetrical Clipper. Maybe the fact that they are old will give them more leakage than modern silicon? could be a nice in between germanium and silicon sound...
yes that's the same link that I posted but directly from google translate. it seems to be the only info about theses SE-05. Anyways I'm currently uploading a demo video with various diodes (bat41, 1n914, D9D, se-05, talking notes for myself ) . The SE-05 are interesting, weirdly warm and harsh at the same time... They don't clip too hard, but harder than LED. lots of headroom but they still crunch.The closest one is the 1N914 in my test setup. so many words, so many words but here's the video:
