OxEAE Fuzz

We had a Pedal Expo here in Portland last weekend and EAE had a booth setup there. I had a chance to play a good chunk of their stuff. All of their pedals were pretty killer, but this one really stood out to me. It was super versatile and covered a wide range of fuzz tones, and also sounded amazing. I had a hard time moving on from it, to be completely honest.

It looks like they're out of order currently, but this thing freakin rips. I'm not sure how feasible a DIY version would be, and I dunno if sliders translate the same way as pots do, but if this is at all possible to recreate that would be killer.

Sliders are basically just pots that go from side to side instead of round and round. The circuit most likely is feasible, the enclosure obviously not.

I'm not saying it's not a possibility, there's a schematic out there short of a few unknown capacitor values. (I'd really want to get the correct values for those, regardless of how irrelevant they might be)

John expressed some concern about recuperating his investment in having that fancy enclosure fabricated before the cloners had their way with it... I'm not always a complete asshole so I've kinda tried to steer clear of it for a while. :ROFLMAO:

I mean I get that in a crazy market such as guitar pedals you would want to stand out visually, but ultimately that is just one of the reasons WHY people would clone it. High price and potentially impractical format...

I didn’t know there was a supposed schematic out there, seems my Google fu is weak. Tbh tho I totally get not digging into it too much. Most of my curiosity with EAE designs is just wanting to see what new wizardry is to be seen. Case in point, I own 3 EAE drives and nowadays it takes a lot to get me to buy an overdrive instead of clone it lol.
Plus, tbh John describes his circuits well enough that I feel like you can kind of get in the ballpark anyway.
