Fairly straight forward build that fired up first time. Socketed the diodes just incase I want to buy the mythical ones at some point. R3 and R20 are socketed as well to be able to alternate between normal and high gain options. I used 1N4148 (=MA856) & 1N914 (=1S1588).
I've not played it a great deal but at the moment I prefer the double boost option using to DIP switches (off, off, off, off). The analogman website is helpful for the different options for diode clipping. http://www.analogman.com/kingtone.htm
I can't decide whether I like it with a the faceplate or just blank and minimal. All in all it's a great pedal with a wide range of tones in a small enclosure.
